Review: M.I Pet Nail Clipper

Description:

Nail Clipper-
You won't hurt your dog any more if you use M.I Pet's Nail Clipper when you cut your dog's nails. You are able to choose the length of the nail (2mm or 4mm) you want to cut just by turning the arrow button with a coin.
When you use a normal pet nail clipper, it is almost impossible to cut your dog's nails without it bleeding because it won't stay quiet.
Let's make trimming nails safe for your lovely dog!

==============================

Pros:
- Shaped like a human nail clipper, easy to handle
- Has the nail guard; not fool-proof
- Had a container to contain the nails

Cons:
- The plastic container sort of blocks the blades edge; kind of difficult to aim the nail directly into the groove
- Once you shake the clipper, all the stored bits of nails can fall out.
- The nail guard is not fool-proof, if the pet's nail is inserted slanted in, the guard won't work. Moreover, the nail tends to be curved, making the nail guard not very precise, seems like the nails I cut is more than 2mm long.
- Don't seem to be strong enuff for tougher nails

Review:
Managed to cut twinkle's nails. Her nails are not very tough, so they are easily cut. But i cut into twinkle's quick (nail nerve) once and resulted in bleeding. :( I think this nail clipper is good enough for her. Probably want to try using a scissor nail clipper with nail guard just to compare. Guillotine style clipper is definitely out of my consideration.

I would love to give Twinkle home-cooked food, but my schedule don't permit me to do so. Don't wanna create extra work for my mom either. So kibbles' still my best bet.

Chose lamb, as it's stated to be hypo-allergenic (One of the least allergy-causing meat)
Said to be a 4-star Premium Dry Food.

Pros:
- Don't poop as much as when she's in Eukanuba. More food being absorbed into her system, rather than junk out of it.
- Poo don't stink as bad as on Eukanuba. (still stinks though)
- She's doing fine, good appetite, no major problems with the food.

Cons:
- Can't think of anything at the moment.

Review:
Will stick to this till she gets sick of it *fingers crossed*

- Mix one tablespoon with 1.5L of water.
- Use as a final rinse without washing off.

Pros:
- Love the powdery scent ; but lasts couple of days only. :(
- Coat feels nice after blow-drying.
- Doesn't weigh down the fur.

Cons:
- Scent not long-lasting.

Review: Would purchase again, unless i find something as well with long-lasting scent. :)

Review: Tomlyn Pearls Au Lait Milk Bath Shampoo

Bought the white one in the middle. Didn't want extra ingredient (e.g fragrance) to irritate her skin.

============================
Description:

Pearls Au Lait Milk Bath Moisturizing Shampoo is a gentle shampoo for cats and dogs, enriched with the goodness of milk proteins. It leaves the skin and coat clean, moisturized and silky.

Features/Use/Recommendation

Pearls Au Lait Milk Bath Moisturizing Shampoo has an exclusive patented delivery system, similar to the technology used to make cosmetics for humans. The result is silkier and cleaner skin and coat of your pet. The shampoo has encapsulated Nova Pearls that slowly release nutrient-rich moisturizers. Pearls Au Lait Milk Bath Moisturizing Shampoo comes in three variants— Nourishing Skin Care, Fresh Strawberry Fragrance and All-In-One Salon Treatment.

============================

Didn't get her a whitening shampoo, as they are said to be rather harsh on the dog's skin. Westies are super prone to get skin allergies, thus decided to just get a normal pH-balanced mild shampoo for twinkle instead. Been using this on Twinkle for her weekly baths. Must lather well with water before rubbing onto her.

Pros:
- Cleans well, her coat is much cleaner after baths, looks whiter/cleaner.
- No problems with this shampoo.

Cons:
- Not lasting-smell though. Milky scent is not very nice either.

Review:
So far, this shampoo works just ok. Nothing much to rave about. Will probably try other brands, just for the feel of it.

Twinkle: A walk in the park...

Mommy brought me out again! I'm loving weekends, cos i always have so many things happening to me on weekends!~ She decided i'm too white.. (pun fully intended) so she brought me out to suntan! So off we went to the beach!~

Venturing towards the sandy beach area; with my pretty purple harness..

Mommy's shadow + me + my shadow!
It was SUPER HOT AND SUNNY! me like the SUN!~

A.... what's this...... ......*lick lick*
(Mommy: she NEVER saw sand before; thus she carefully sniffed it and starting LICKING IT! *faint* sand is NOT food, my dear... )

Glancing off the coast... the water is endless! Can i drink from it, mommy?

See... there's sand on my nose too!

The beautiful weather. Mommy love the clouds.. the sky.. the breeze.. the SUN!

Taking a rest on the bench.

Me + mommy shot!

Grass sniffing time!

Perching on a stone pillar.

Out into the sea...
(mommy: thought this is a really pretty shot!)

I started to get really really tired, refusing to walk around. Kept staying at one location and sniffing the floor, sniffing the grass, sniffing the dried leaves. Lie on the floor and people-watch. Mommy was such a nag; kept calling me to move. But I'M TIRED ALREADY. :(

Dog (People) want to rest. Cannot?

Mommy half-dragged, half-carried me to a crowded place. With lotsa of people. It was so messy. Then she carried me and plopped me into a basket..............................

CUTE?

Mommy decided she was tired of carrying me around. So let's go for a ride instead! She found this REALLY girly, pink bicycle with basket in front. This almost sounds so cliché, as if we're acting in a movie or something. Mommy NEVER rides this kind of bicycle; mountain biking is more her kind, but with me, i make her more girly. heehee. So we just took this pink-bicycle-with-basket...

Looking excitedly out of the basket.

I recieved LOTS of compliments... hehe~ Many ppl just ADORES me. I'm cute. I'm pretty. What can i say. Me in the basket? Cuteness x 100000000000000000. Ha!

We saw this cute bunch of kids learning how to roller-blade. So cute! Mommy just had to take pictures of them.

She cute, aint she? Cuter than me? NAH! Mommy, you go and learn how to blade also ok? Then maybe you will look as cute. (Mommy: then there's no more basket for you to sit in.)
Me: oh..... ....... ............ :x

Looking out...

Starting to nua... ... Totally relaxed in the basket.

Mommy's fave shot of me in the basket...

On the way back... *yawn* Me aslp in my doggy bag.. Zzz zzz zzz~

p.s i love weekends with mommy. *Big Tired Smile*

Mommy:

so i'm not able to upload the pics of twinkle yet. *sigh*

Mommy: Just can't wait!

Finally i brought Twinkle out for her walks! That's what dog owners do, don't they? Bring their lovely pets out for walks!! hee~

Her vaccination is done last sun. Given one week for her immune system to kick in, she should have a super duper HIGH level of antibodies swimming in her blood. (read: healthy ger!) FINALLY, she's ready to go for walks.

i'm PARANOID over fleas and ticks. Hearing all the horror stories abt ticks infesting even their homes, that just freaks the heck of me.

I bought a commercialised natural insect repellent (also made up of essential oils). But it hasnt arrived yet. :( I JUST CAN'T WAIT! So, i decided to make my own anti-flea/ticks spray. A simple purely-natural spray with no chemicals and wadsoever.

Receipe:
1. 8oz. distilled water
2. 4-6 drops of tea tree oil
3. 4-6 drops of lavender oil

Shake and spray away!~

Tea tree oil; smells rather nice. Purchased from guardian/watsons'/unity. Brand: Thursday's plantation. I bought the 100% pure oil one. (10ml - 10.80)

Lavender oil; smells even more nicer! Bought from TBS. Essential oil there is so ex. :'( but i didn't know where else to get it. (5ml - 12.90)

Distilled water;
helps that i work in the lab. =p i can make my own distilled water. teehee~

These oils are natural flea/tick-repellents. I'm wondering where to get citronella oil that's a natural mosquito repellent! So if your house has mozzies flying around.. you know what oil to burn. *wink*

Had a DIFFICULT time putting on her harness. That squirmy ger who loves to bite on the harness whilst i'm putting it on. =.= after i'm done with that, i sprayed my spray ALL over her... haha.. till the point where she got kinda soaked-wet. *twinkle give the sian 1/2 face* haha.. prevention is better than cure, ain't it? i doused her with so much of the liquid so she smells absolutely LOVELY!!

Finally, her moment to widen-her-horizon is here!
Scaredy-dog here is afraid of lifts and she doesnt know how to go down stairs! LOL.

I shall NOT teach her to go down stairs NOR take the lift. So even if my hse-door is wide open, she wont be able to run out cos there's a short flight of steps just there. teehee~ Cunning mommy.
